Dan Hamilton
Dan has worked in the private and corporate legal industry for over fifteen years. As Operations Manager and MIS Director for a medium sized insurance defense firm in Los Angeles, he developed valuable insight and a true appreciation for the complexities and unique requirements involved in law office management. Over a period of nearly seven years, he played an integral role in the areas of network deployment and maintenance, document management systems, matter management implementation and oversight, enhanced use of word processing, forms generation, litigation support, personnel management, invoice processing and general office management.
In the summer of 1998, he took that experience to Mitratech, Inc., where he successfully implemented legal matter management solutions in corporate and government law departments throughout the United States, Canada and Great Britain. His focus on all consulting projects is to approach knowledge management from a process as well as a systems perspective, with a thorough understanding of the unique and often complex issues that drive each client’s information management requirements.
Chris has worked in the legal IT industry for over ten years. Educated in Europe where he studied business information technology, he has focused on applying his technical knowledge to the legal industry. As the senior technical and data analysis consultant for Mitratech, he worked with many Fortune 500 information services groups and legal departments, where he assisted clients with the installation and integration of matter management products.
Working with end-users and systems administrators as a Business Objects trainer, he has gained enormous experience in various legal areas and is able to apply this culminated knowledge to aid clients in the design and analysis of reported information. His background in business information technology, systems analysis, information analysis, various IT systems such as NT, Oracle, MSSQL, Citrix, Business Objects, Access, Excel and internet based technology has helped him to mold technology to business needs and maximize each client’s return-on-investment.
